Organic Pressure — Dutch Design Week 2026. Sculptural furniture and objects by Casper Smits.

A low table carved from a single volume of wood. Material is taken away, deformed and redirected until the form settles between growth and pressure. The raw grain meets a surface polished to an almost glass-like depth.

Plinth

A plinth that is both support and sculpture. Its mass is shaped by controlled force, leaving the tension of the process visible in the wood, while the top resolves into a flawless, reflective plane.

Frame

A frame for a mirror or artwork, formed as an object in its own right. Rough natural edges hold a smooth, glossy inner surface, turning the boundary of an image into the work itself.
